Steven Gerrard questions whether Manchester United have a striker who can score the ‘ugly goals’

"I just look at Manchester United's frontline, [Matheus] Cunha and [Bryan] Mbeumo. If you go back to previous Manchester United strikers, they've always had someone who is prolific. A box finisher, who can score easy goals," the former England captain said.

"[Ruud] Van Nistelrooy, [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer, [Andy] Cole, [Dwight] Yorke. Teddy Sheringham, who was more of a 10 and a nine, but scored a lot of really good goals. Then you've got [Wayne] Rooney who scored all types of goals.

"I'm just not sure they've got that level of player in the frontline, who's the world-class finishes, who gets the ugly goals. So, if Manchester United don't play well, they still win, because the nine's goal an ugly goal. Like a Van Nistelrooy would get, who was a top finisher.

"I do like Mbeumo a lot, and he is one of the United players who has been a positive this season."
