FSU's Duce Robinson named a semifinalist for Man of the Year award

· Yahoo Sports

Wide receiver Duce Robinson is one best players on Florida State's roster. However, his impact stretches far beyond making plays on the football field or getting recognition for his production.

He's very active within the community as well. So much so that he was named a semifinalist for a very prestigious honor. Robinson was selected as one of the 20 semifinalists for the Jason Witten Man of the Year award. It's given to the player who best demonstrates leadership, courage, and integrity.

The three finalists will be announced on Dec. 15. As for the winner, that will be revealed at a ceremony on March 11, 2027, inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Robinson raised $10,000 to support Special Olympics Florida through his pickleball tournament back in July. He coaches youth athletes through the Next Level Flag Football program, has partnered with the Keep Climbing Family Foundation to distribute goods to needy families, and he's also helped with elementary school literacy activities as well as mentoring first-generation student athletes.

It doesn't stop there. Robinson is a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which recognizes an individual as the absolute best in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance, and exemplary leadership. He was also awarded Florida State's Bill McGrotha Award in 2025 for his humanitarian service, the Bobby Bowden Leadership Award, and he was nominated for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which recognizes college football’s top community leaders.

Simply put, Robinson has been a blessing to not just FSU's football program but the city of Tallahassee.
