For Kentucky, the big news is linebacker Alex Afari is now eligible again and is expected to play Saturday night. Afari was listed as questionable on the previous two injury reports this week, but he’s no longer on the report, so he’s good to go.
As for running back CJ Baxter, he is still listed as questionable. Pete Nakos reported on Friday that Baxter would be a true game-time decision, but there was some optimism on UK’s side that the Texas transfer will play.
Defensive tackle Kellan Edwards remains questionable, as does reserve tight end Elijah Brown.
Wide receiver Nic Anderson and cornerback Hasaan Sykes are no longer on the injury report after being previously listed as probable.
Defensive end Tyler Thomas has now been ruled out, along with cornerback Jaden Smith, linebacker Antwan Smith, cornerback Grant Grayton, and linebacker Tavion Wallace.
For Oklahoma, starting left tackle Michael Fasusi, who’s been sidelined since Week 1 with a shoulder injury, is now listed as doubtful to play, so he’ll likely miss Saturday.
Starting guard Eddy Pierre-Louis remains doubtful to play.
Starting cornerback Eli Bowen was downgraded to out.
Backup offensive lineman Heath Ozaeta is doubtful.
Finally, cornerback Jacobe Johnson, wide receiver Parker Livingstone, linebacker Taylor Heim, running back Xavier Robinson, tight end Trynae Washington, and wide receiver Trell Harris have been ruled out.
