When teams are in strange quarterback positions, it typically gets viewed in a completely different light than anything else. Even for the Minnesota Vikings, who sit at 4-0, to say the quarterback play has been ideal this season would be unfair. As time goes on, it's clear the Vikings made the wrong decision by moving on from Sam Darnold.

It is what it is at this point, and the Vikings can't change it, but it is something to consider over the next couple of weeks, as others have suggested a quarterback trade could be possible.
Searching for options, one insider recently mentioned a couple of players who could be available. One was Malik Willis, the Miami Dolphins quarterback. Justin Herbert was also mentioned.
“I just don’t think you have many options,” Middlekauff said in an Oct. 6 video from “3 & OUT with John Middlekauff” about whether he sees the Vikings making a midseason trade for a QB, per Heavy.
“Who are you trading for? Would the Dolphins trade Malik Willis for a second-round pick? Could you offer three first-rounders for Herbert? If the team is just imploding and maybe they go winless and draft a quarterback, you would do that if you were Minnesota. I just don’t really see your options.”
Adding Herbert would definitely be the most intriguing option, though it remains uncertain whether the Los Angeles Chargers would even entertain it, even with decent draft capital involved.
The Chargers have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL to start this season, but that doesn't mean they want to move on from their starting quarterback.
