The move to digital comes almost 70 days after Brand New Day landed in theaters, one of the longest theatrical windows of 2026. That extended time in theaters certainly paid off. The Spider-Man sequel exploded out of the gate with a record-breaking opening weekend, going on to gross over $2.5 billion over the course of its run.

That box office total includes a $951 million domestic haul that solidified Brand New Day's place as the highest-grossing movie in U.S. history. On the global front, it only trails behind Avatar and Avengers: Endgame. Of course, we’ll see what happens to those rankings when Doomsday hits.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now available to rent for $24.99 or purchase digitally for $29.99. If you choose to purchase the movie, you’ll also get bonus features.

The new Spider-Man movie picks up in the current-day timeline of MCU’s Phase 6, specifically after No Way Home, which ended with a pretty big development for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. The sequel brings back Peter’s pals, MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon), who have now graduated high school. It also introduces new MCU cast members, most notably Sadie Sink, though Marvel tried its hardest to keep her role secret until Brand New Day hit heaters.

Tom Jorgensen’s review for IGN describes Brand New Day as a “a refreshingly small-scale ride” compared to some recent MCU projects, saying director Destin Daniel Cretton refocuses “on the sturdiest pillars of the webslinger's iconography: struggling to find balance while swinging around New York City saving the day, and looking dang cool doing it.”

While you’d assume the web-slinging hero would be leading the pack for Avengers: Doomsday, Tom Holland is actually one of the few MCU stars that hasn’t yet been confirmed to be part of the big crossover. That doesn’t mean a whole lot, however, and Marvel is reportedly working on an Avengers-style re-release of Brand New Day with extra footage.

Spider-Man 5 is already confirmed to be in the works, with an unsurprising name currently attached as the director. What isn’t attached to the project is a release date, and Marvel has a packed schedule until at least 2029. At the very least, we can look forward to the return of Sadie Sink in a full X-Men reboot slated for 2028.

Disney+ Release Date

Recent movies under the Disney umbrella have landed on the Disney+ streaming service between three and four months after their initial release in theaters. Assuming the latest Spider-Man movie follows a similar time, it should be available to Disney+ subscribers by late November.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day 4K Blu-ray Also Up for Preorder

Brand New Day is also getting a robust 4K Blu-ray release, including the full steelbook treatment. A spread of DVDs are now available to preorder, all of which have a release date of December 15. Just in time for the holidays.

If you're generally looking to bulk up your library, Amazon has tons of ongoing physical media deals as part of its Prime Big Deal Day sale.
