4th World March for Peace and Non-Violence: Report

The NSS Unit B-18 of Valia C.L. College of Commerce and Valia L.C. College of Arts participated in the 4th World March for Peace and Non-Violence, organised by the Committee World Without War and Violence. The global campaign ran from 21 September to 4 October 2026, with the aim of promoting peace, unity, non-violence and global harmony.

In solidarity with the campaign, a Peace- March was held on Sunday, 4 October 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A total of 125 NSS volunteers from Valia College, Dahanukar Commerce and SPDT College took part. The march began at the Valia College parking space and proceeded via D.N. Nagar Police Station, C.E.S. Road and Juhu Circle before returning to the college. Volunteers raised slogans for peace, unity and non-violence, creating awareness among students and the local community.

The programme was graced by Bharat Valia, President, Cosmopolitan Education Society; Smt. Alka Valia, Joint Secretary; Dr. Deepak Nanaware, Principal; Mr. Arvind Panchal, NSS Programme Officer; and Mr. Vijendra Gupta, Co-Programme Officer. The march was coordinated with the support of Rajesh Sheth, Mr. Vikram Chibber, Mrs. Shobhana Jaisinghani and Shankar Dravid of World Without War and Violence.

Street Play: "Stop War and Affirm Peace"

NSS volunteers also staged a street play (Nukkad Natak) on the theme "Stop War and Affirm Peace" at the College Quadrangle and at Kapashwadi, the college's adopted area. The performance highlighted the devastating consequences of war and violence, and stressed peaceful coexistence, dialogue, compassion and mutual understanding. Nearly 250 people watched the play and joined in raising peace slogans. The Kapashwadi outreach carried the message beyond the campus directly to the local community.

2"शांति हमारा अधिकार, अहिंसा हमारा मार्ग", 3. "एक दुनिया, एक मानवता"

4."छोटा कदम, बड़ा बदलाव".
