On red carpets, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star has made sheer, sultry outfits her signature. Her everyday style is a little more laid back, but still bold, elevated, and the epitome of cool.
If you're unfamiliar, Johnson's fashion has been on display throughout this year as she's promoted projects including a short film called "Flesh Impact," Taylor Swift's "Patient Zero" music video, in which she stars, and her coming film "Verity."
Here's everything she's worn, ranked from least to most daring.

She was photographed leaving a "Verity" press event in ripped vintage jeans, a black tank top, and the $1,390 Swan wool jacket from Nili Lotan.
For accessories, Johnson chose $1,140 Khaite flats, $73,240 worth of layered jewelry, and $515 Valentino sunglasses.
Though the outfit was expensive, it was extremely subtle in style.

Johnson attended another "Verity" event in a long black skirt and a semi-sheer sweater that revealed her red tank top beneath it.
The outfit was perfect for fall and was accessorized with feminine touches, like white pumps, a diamond necklace, a slouchy leather bag, and the same Valentino sunglasses.
Still, there was nothing shocking about the outfit.

For a Calvin Klein runway show, Johnson wore the brand's high-waisted black skirt with a blazer that was tied in a knot at her waist.
She seemingly wore the latter with no shirt beneath it, and completed the outfit with leather boots, a white purse, and thick sunglasses.
Though the top half was unconventional, the outfit overall wasn't the boldest choice she could have made for a fashion-show appearance.

Still, Johnson looked stunning in the baby-pink number from Calvin Klein. It was sleeveless, covered in transparent sequins, and the tiniest bit sheer.
The actor also wore a Messika diamond choker and custom rings.

Her satin dress from the fashion house was sensual, lined with lace at its deep neckline and embellished with a matching satin choker.
Johnson also wore black pumps, statement earrings, and an oversize velvet sweater.
The outfit leaned into her daring style but didn't go all the way.

Valentino designed the flowing white gown Johnson wore at the 2026 Time100 Gala in New York City.
It was sleeveless with gathered fabric at the neckline, a floor-length skirt, and a matching cape clasped with a crystal-covered, wing-shaped brooch.
Not only was the dress style a departure for Johnson, but her shoes were unexpected as well. She wore $1,250 leather heels with crystal snake embellishments from Valentino.

Johnson wore a custom Calvin Klein outfit that was perfect for a party. It featured a high-waisted skirt covered in beaded fringe and a matching bralette top.
She made it even more festive with a diamond necklace, earrings, and red lipstick.
The outfit was flashier and more fun than expected.

While in New York City, Johnson essentially ditched pants and instead wore a mesh skirt that revealed her undergarments.
She also sported black ballet flats, a loose-fitting button-up top, her Valentino sunglasses, and an assortment of gold jewelry.
The outfit summarized Johnson's style: provocative, but simple.

She was there wearing a black ensemble from Valentino. It comprised a cropped, ruffled jacket worn atop a sheer bodysuit with a plunging neckline that dipped to her stomach.
She wore the latter tucked into a miniskirt that had a longer lace lining.
The outfit showed lots of skin and was accessorized perfectly with satin bow heels and her signature beaded Laoli necklace.

She walked the event's black carpet in a dramatic gown with long, puffy sleeves, a form-fitting bodice, and a short train.
Designed by Valentino, the dress also had two keyhole cutouts across the bodice and a hood lined with green sequins.
The dress was daring enough on its own, but Johnson made it bolder with a long diamond necklace that sat framed by its cutouts.

Her Valentino gown, from the designer's 2027 resort collection, was purple and orange, with beadwork from top to bottom.
Considering its vibrant colors and shapeless silhouette, it was a surprising choice for Johnson. She usually wears form-fitting pieces in neutral shades.
Still, the unexpected, semi-sheer look worked for her.

Johnson arrived at the show in her underwear — literally. She wore black lace panties atop brown floral tights and tucked an animal-print blouse into the latter.
The rest of her outfit was equally eye-catching: studded black pumps, a green clutch, silver jewelry, and a brown coat with gold foiling and feathered fringe.

Johnson's wardrobe is never complete without lace.
She wore the fabric as a short-sleeved Colleen Allen dress to the London screening of "Verity" in September. It was entirely see-through, revealing that Johnson was only wearing a thong underneath it.
For this occasion, she kept her accessories minimal.
