SWR organizes Inter-School Competitions on Integrity and Probity

South Western Railway, Vigilance Department Organized Inter-School Competitions as part of Vigilance Awareness Campaign–2026. Central Vigilance Commission observes ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ every year with the aim of fostering awareness and promote integrity and transparency in public administration through awareness programmes and preventive vigilance initiatives. In this regard Commission has advised all the organizations to conduct a three-month awareness campaign starting from August 17th upto 16th November on the theme of ‘Probity for Prosperity’.
As part of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign–2026, the Vigilance Department, South Western Railway, organized various inter-school competitions to promote awareness of integrity, probity and ethical values among students across Hubballi-Dharwad.

An Inter-School Elocution Competition and an Inter-School Drawing Competition were organized on 17.09.2026. The Elocution Competition witnessed participation of 39 students from 21 schools, while 19 students from various schools participated in the Drawing Competition.
Further, an Inter-School Kannada Quiz Competition was conducted on 21.09.2026 for students of various Government Kannada Medium Schools in Hubballi. Six teams, comprising three students each from six schools, participated in the competition.
The competitions provided a platform for students to express their creativity, knowledge and perspectives on the importance of integrity, transparency and probity in public life, thereby contributing to the broader objective of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign–2026.
Manoj Kumar, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer of South Western Railway emphasized the importance of probity in public life and appreciated the efforts put in by all the students. He and other senior officers from Vigilance Department of South Western Railway were present during the occasion.
