Gable Steveson entered UFC 331 as a historic betting favorite at nearly 25-1.

He left the cage in disgrace with a smirk on his face while the crowd at Crypto.com Arena that booed him on his way in booed even more on his way out. He wasn’t sportsman enough, or man enough, to stay in the cage to hear Sean Sharaf's name called and see his hand raised. (Plus, there’s that little matter of the crowd chanting “F*ck you, loophole” at Steveson – a reference to the 2019 rape charges he got off on because of a loophole in Minnesota law that has since, thankfully, been closed.)

Sharaf pulled off the biggest upset in UFC history when he shut Steveson’s lights out in just 12 seconds on the main card in Los Angeles. The KO was one of the fastest finishes in promotion history in any division, and the third quickest heavyweight finish. In terminology familiar to those of Steveson's ilk, the Olympic medalist wrestler was made a cuck, proverbially speaking, by Sharaf, who said in the buildup he would do exactly what he did. Sharaf put his name into the UFC's history book in a way that might never be topped when it comes to upsets.

To put the upset in perspective, Georges St-Pierre’s loss to Matt Serra, which is approaching 20 years old, is regarded by many to be the UFC’s biggest upset – and GSP was only a 13-1 favorite. Holly Holm upset 14-1 favorite Ronda Rousey in 2015, and just last month, 16-1 favorite Myktybek Oralbai went down to Jeremiah Wells. So Steveson, a protege of infamous UFC ne’er-do-well Jon Jones, most certainly set a new standard for sh*tting the proverbial bed.

If the way Sharaf emasculated Steveson and put him on his back was the most satisfying stoppage for many at UFC 331, does it hold up as the best finish? It certainly had some competition thanks to an insane armbar from Casey O’Neill in the event’s second fight, and from presumed next lightweight title challenger Arman Tsarukyan in the co-main event.

UFC 331 had seven finishes in a dozen fights. But not all finishes are created equal. Check out the finishes from UFC 331 in the video above. Then vote for which one was your favorite in our poll below.
