Indian Bank Bags Rajbhasha Kirti Award for Third Straight Year

Indian Bank has been conferred the Second Prize under the Rajbhasha Kirti Award for 2025-26 for its outstanding performance in implementing the Official Language Policy. The award was presented during the Hindi Diwas celebrations at the 6th All India Rajbhasha Conference held at the SIDCO Exhibition Centre. Executive Director, Indian Bank, Shiv Bajrang Singh, received the award from Union Ministers of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Nityanand Rai, in the presence of Rajbhasha Secretary Ansuli Arya. The bank has secured the honour for the third consecutive year, underlining its sustained efforts to promote Hindi in banking operations.

On the second day of the conference on September 15, Indian Bank’s Corporate Office, Chennai, convener of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Banks/FIs), Chennai, was honoured in the Best Category under the TOLIC Rajbhasha Samman.
The Bank’s Kanchipuram and Puducherry Zonal Offices, which convene the respective Town Official Language Implementation Committees, were recognised in the Commendable Category.
A coffee table book, Main Dil-Dil Hoon, published by Indian Bank, was also released. The bank said the recognition reflects its commitment to implementing the Official Language Policy and providing banking services with the spirit of ‘Customer Service in the Customer’s Language.’
