Rory McIlroy will be desperate to return to form this week at the BMW PGA Championship.
McIlroy has struggled since winning The Masters back in April, but he always seems to have a pep back in his step when he returns to Europe for the final few months of the season.

The 37-year-old Northern Irishman won the BMW PGA Championship back in 2014, and he has had plenty of near misses since then.
Rory McIlroy‘s length off the tee gives him a huge advantage at Wentworth, and it should surprise nobody if he wins the BMW PGA Championship this week.
McIlroy is keen to win the BMW PGA in order to enhance his chances of leading the Race To Dubai come the end of the season. Given what he did on Wednesday at Wentworth, it’s almost a guarantee that he will contend at the very least.

McIlroy got seriously hot on the golf course during the Pro-Am.
Amazingly, he got to nine-under par after just 10 holes, despite making pars on his first two holes.
Tony Johnstone, a former DP World Tour player, took to his X account on Wednesday and shared what he witnessed from McIlroy during the Pro-Am at Wentworth.
“Out for a wander at Wentworth on Pro-Am day. My brain is dumbstruck,“ he said.
“Rory started par-par the first 2 holes and is now 9-under par after 10 holes!!! It’s astonishing to see.“
That is quite extraordinary from McIlroy.
Wentworth is definitely not an easy golf course, and to be nine-under par after 10 holes is, as Johnstone put it, astonishing.
Now the six-time major champion will be keen to transfer that fine form into the tournament week, starting on Thursday.
Rory McIlroy’s swing is clearly in a very good spot right now, and if he manages to putt well at Wentworth, his rivals could have a really tough time keeping up with him.
