This game means a lot to the Titans and head coach Robert Saleh, and it shows. Tennessee starts fast and never lets up, with Cam Ward hitting two touchdowns early to put the team in front, and Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears closing it out by helping control the clock in a 24-16 victory.
Serena Burks: Titans 20, Jets 13
The Titans and Jets will be an interesting matchup this weekend. Robert Saleh's familiarity with the Jets' organization will help him game plan for this opponent, but the Titans' players have to execute the plan efficiently. Both teams saw plenty of offseason changes, but the Titans are in a better position to build for the future, and that begins on Sunday in Nashville. It probably won't be pretty for the Titans' offense, but Tennessee comes away with a win to open the season.
Dan Benton: Titans 23, Jets 13
There's going to be a lot of emotion in this game -- Robert Saleh looking for some sweet revenge, and Tennessee honoring running back Chris Johnson. Ultimately, the Titans come out strong and want it more, sending the Jets to an early defeat while starting the 2026 season off on the right foot.

Robert Saleh is looking for revenge in this one, and the Titans will be fired up after all of the talk about their struggles this summer. I would expect a close game, but Cam Ward throws for two touchdown passes and leads Tennessee to the win.

In a mostly low-scoring affair throughout, Cam Ward and the Titans offense will show flashes of potential. The Titans defense will recover from a slow start to the game and end it by intercepting a pass from the NFL's leader in thrown interceptions over the last two seasons, Geno Smith.
Kevin Hickey: Titans 13, Jets 10
In a game that isn't expected to feature a whole lot of offense, the Titans grab a home win over the Jets in Nashville. There are some serious questions regarding Cam Ward's development, and he'll have to prove he's moving in the right direction. The Jets simply don't offer much in the way of offensive explosion, even with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. In the end, the Titans do just enough to sneak away with a home win.
