The second qualifying round loss ends injury-hit Guernsey's cup hopes for this season after they were beaten in the FA Cup last month.

The Green Lions had 12 first team players injured with the likes of Josh Addison, Ross Allen, Charlton Gauvain and Sam Murray all out.

Roffey could have gone ahead early on when Stan Berry fired wide, but it was the injury-hit Green Lions who took the lead.

Dylan Graham scored his first-ever goal for Guernsey as he got past two defenders before firing into the far corner after 20 minutes.

But Berry made no mistake two minutes later to level the scores as he got on the end of a cross from the right.

Fin Patterson and Will Fazakerley had chances for Guernsey in the first 15 minutes after the break.

But Roffey went ahead midway through the second half when captain Jordan Mase's low effort found the back of the net.

It was almost 3-1 when Mase teed up Berry, but Seb Shepherd did well to stop the forward's effort with 17 minutes to go.

"I'm frustrated," Guernsey FC manager Tony Vance told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"I'd loved to have had a full team today to be able to do the competition justice, but the reality is we haven't got that and we've literally got an entire team not available and that's going to be tough.

"I think if you look at that, we did okay. We just didn't have enough to get us over the line or to earn penalties.

"I thought in the first half we knew how they were going to play, it's very predictable, you wait for them to make the mistake and you get the counter and that's exactly what happened when we them last time and this time we did it again.

"Then we committed the crime of all crimes and and gave a goal away straight away.

"I'll claim that, that's my fault you know as I asked them to try and play out and try and have a little bit of structure rather than just just sort of launching it and make it in a basketball game because we didn't have those resources."
