The Incredible Lengths the 49ers Have Gone to Behind the Scenes for Their Australia Trip

The San Francisco 49ers are making sure their players are well taken care of on their trip to Australia for a Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Niners are in an unfamiliar environment to play football, but they have arrived in the Land Down Under several days before the game against their NFC West rivals Rams in order to have enough time to adjust to the time and surroundings.
The work that it takes to bring an entire NFL team overseas, let alone to a place several thousand miles away from home, can be tremendous. Fans don’t see what happens behind the scenes, but Andrew McCormack of Sunrise provided some insight into the job that entails such a long trip to a different continent.

Just an insight into some of the things that go into bringing an NFL team to Australia.
The 49ers have brought their own bottled water from Hawaii – around 13 pallets worth.
They also flew the head chef from their Melbourne hotel to 49ers HQ for a week to specifically tailor a menu for all meals and snacks served
What Happened The Last Time The 49ers and Rams Met

Despite missing Brock Purdy, Nick Bosa and George Kittle in the first matchup, San Francisco came away with a victory, thanks in large part to backup quarterback Mac Jones. The former Alabama Crimson Tide star signal-caller stepped up in lieu of Purdy and passed for 342 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 33/49 passing.
The Rams, however, got their payback in Week 10, returning the favor to San Francisco at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. In that contest, Rams quarterback Mathew Stafford threw four touchdowns with zero interceptions, while racking up 280 passing yards on 24/36 completions.
