Riley Herbst Signs Multi-Year Deal With Legacy Motor Club

Riley Herbst is set to join Legacy Motor Club in 2027 to pilot the No. 84 Toyota. LMC co-owner Jimmie Johnson made it known earlier this year that the organization was expected to expand to a three-car team next year, but had yet to announce the driver.

Herbst, who currently drives the No. 35 23XI Racing Toyota, has signed a multi-year NASCAR Cup Series deal to compete for the team co-owned by seven-time Cup champions Jimmie Johnson and Richard Petty.
The 27-year-old will join Erik Jones as teammates with Legacy along with a third teammate in the No. 42, which has yet to be announced.
Herbst is being replaced in the No. 35 Toyota by two-time Cup winner and defending Craftsman Truck Series champion Corey Heim. Amid his second season at 23XI Racing, Herbst ranks 29th in the points standings.
