The NFL’s X account shared a video compilation of players praising Stafford and explaining what makes the Rams quarterback the best in the league. The video only left fans more confused about his fourth-place ranking.

Fans voiced their frustration in the replies, with many claiming the rankings, determined by NFL players’ votes, were invalid because of Stafford’s placement.

“Lol all respect lost for this list. The MVP QB isn’t top 3??” a fan wrote.

“Stafford at 4 just shows players vote blind…average fan defending it is why this sport remains lame,” a fan wrote.

“Stafford at 4 shows players vote on name not tape and y’all are defending it like sheep,” a fan wrote.

“It ain’t even about Josh Allen. 4 is just TOO LOW!” a fan wrote.

Some fans defended the rankings, pointing out that the list is based on votes from NFL players.

“Here to watch the people mad at the ‘Josh Allen PR’ even though this is completely player voted… voted by the players who have to try and stop these guys,” a fan wrote.

“Can someone smarter than me explain what ‘PR’ has to do with a player vote? Are we saying that the players have had their brains mutated with Josh Allen prop, and that’s why he’s ranked top 3?” a fan wrote.

Stafford led the NFL in passing yards (4,707) and passing touchdowns (46) last season. His 46 passing touchdowns also set a single-season career high for the 38-year-old quarterback.

Who Are the Three Players Ranked Above Matthew Stafford?

The top three spots on the NFL Top 100 have yet to be announced. However, as several fans pointed out, the Buffalo Bills quarterback is expected to be ranked inside the top three.

While the order has not been finalized yet, Bijan Robinson, Josh Allen, and Myles Garrett are expected to occupy the top three spots.

As of now, Matthew Stafford is the highest-ranked quarterback announced on the list. He is followed by Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey, Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua, Green Bay Packers LB Micah Parsons, Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs, and Denver Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II inside the top 10.
