Former Kaizer Chiefs co-coaches could get sacked this week

Former Kaizer Chiefs co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze are finding life outside Naturena increasingly difficult.

The two coaches parted ways with Amakhosi at the end of last season after guiding the club to an impressive third-place finish in the Betway Premiership.
Their performances earned them opportunities elsewhere, with Ben Youssef joining Durban City and Kaze taking charge of Sekhukhune United.
However, neither coach has enjoyed the start to the new campaign.
Kaze’s tenure at Sekhukhune United has been particularly difficult. After a promising start, Babina Noko went on to lose four consecutive matches, with three of those defeats coming against Orlando Pirates.
Former Kaizer Chiefs coaches finding life tough
According to FARPost, Sekhukhune have now parted ways with Kaze. The club has yet to officially announce his departure, but reports indicate that the former Chiefs coach could become the first head coach to be dismissed this season.
Ben Youssef, meanwhile, has also struggled at Durban City. The defeat to Stellenbosch at home has put further pressure on the coach, with his position now reportedly under serious threat.
The struggles of the two coaches have inevitably raised questions about whether Kaizer Chiefs were too quick to let them go.
Ben Youssef and Kaze were given the difficult task of rebuilding Amakhosi and improving on their league position. Their mandate was to finish in the top two and secure qualification for the CAF Champions League.
While they fell short of that target, they still guided Kaizer Chiefs to third place and secured qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Some supporters now believe they deserved another season at Naturena to build on that progress rather than being replaced.
Interestingly, Fernando Da Cruz, who briefly worked alongside Ben Youssef as a co-assistant coach at Chiefs, is now the club’s head coach.
With Kaze potentially already out of a job and Ben Youssef under pressure, the decision to move on from the former Kaizer Chiefs coaching duo could soon come under greater scrutiny.
