Person sought in Cambridge voyeurism probe; two nabbed after Waterloo break-in

Waterloo Regional Police have released video footage and a photo of person sought in connection to a voyeurism incident in Cambridge earlier this month.
Police said that on Aug. 16 at about midnight, officers were called to the Montrose St. S. area over reports of an unknown male peering into a resident’s window.
Police said officers have obtained video footage of an individual believed to have information that may help investigators.

Cops previously described a suspect as white, about 60 years old and 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He is bald and has a grey beard.

Break-in suspects caught in act: Waterloo cops
Waterloo Regional Police said two people have been arrested after officers allegedly saw them breaking into a multi-unit residential building early Saturday morning.
Police said officers patrolling the area of Hickory and Hemlock Sts. allegedly saw a 20-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man breaking into the building.
The duo, who weren’t identified by police, are both from Waterloo and were arrested as they were seen leaving the building, police said.
Cops also said investigators determined the suspects had outstanding warrants with the man wanted in connection with a robbery involving a knife earlier this month.
Police said the accused face 16 charges, including break-and-enter, possession of break-in instruments, possession of stolen property, weapons offences and failure to comply with court order offences.

Thieves tried to steal ATM in Kitchener: Police
Thieves used a front-end loader in an attempt to steal an ATM at a financial institution in Kitchener early Sunday morning, Waterloo Regional Police said.
Police said at around 3 a.m., the suspects were at a bank in the Fischer-Hallman and Huron Rds. area using a front-end loader to breach the building’s exterior wall to remove an ATM.
Police said officers arrived at the scene while the alleged attempted theft was happening.
Police said the suspects fled in a “newer-model white pickup truck” that crashed into a responding police cruiser while leaving the area.
Police said investigators determined that the front-end loader was recently stolen and that a vehicle located in the financial institution’s parking lot was also stolen.
