A former Elder Panther and Xavier Musketeer is getting a minor league baseball bobblehead.
Pat Kelsey, a Cincinnati west-sider and big Reds fan, is throwing out the first pitch for their AAA affiliate, the Louisville Bats, Friday, Aug. 28. The 51-year-old Kelsey is 51-19 as coach of the Louisville Cardinals and has won 312 games as a Division I head coach, with just one losing season dating back to his first season at Winthrop in 2012-13.

The first 2,500 fans at the game receive the Kelsey bobblehead, complete with his now-trademark spectacles.
Kelsey and the Cardinals came to Heritage Bank Center and beat the UC Bearcats last season, 74-64. The Cardinals were ranked No. 6 in the nation at the time. A return game in the series is scheduled for Freedom Hall, but has been pushed back to a later date.
