NFL Next Gen Stats offered a closer look at how much attention both Parsons and Garrett commanded from opposing offenses last season. Parsons faced 88 double teams and 70 chip blocks, resulting in a 37.4% attention rate.

Garrett, meanwhile, saw 60 double teams and a much higher 139 chip blocks, giving him a 39.5% rate. The nearly identical figures show just how much opposing offenses had to account for both pass rushers.

Neither defender was slowed down by the extra attention. Myles Garrett put together a historic campaign, setting the NFL’s single season sack record with 23. Micah Parsons, despite appearing in only 14 games after suffering a torn ACL, still finished with 12.5 sacks, good for seventh in the league.

Their ability to produce through constant pressure from opposing offenses further separates both stars from the rest of the pack.

Packers and the Rams will meet in Week 12 of the 2026 NFL season, setting the stage for a marquee matchup between two teams with serious Super Bowl aspirations. With Parsons and Garrett leading their respective defenses, their individual battle could be one of the biggest storylines when these contenders collide.
