A victory would also allow the Buccaneers to put pressure on early title rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.

ORLANDO PIRATES TARGET TOP SPOT

The clash against Sekhukhune comes just three days after the two sides met in the MTN8 semi-final first leg. The Sea Robbers claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory away from home. They will now face Sekhukhune United again in the middle chapter of an intense triple-header.

Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou will be hoping his charges can produce another positive result against Cedric Kaze’s Babina Noko. Both teams know that three points could have a major impact on the early Betway Premiership standings.

Orlando Pirates have made a strong start to their title defence and another victory would temporarily send them clear at the top of the table.

The Buccaneers opened their league campaign with a 2-0 victory over Milford FC before drawing 1-1 with Mamelodi Sundowns. They returned to winning ways against their next opponent and will now look to maintain that momentum.

Sekhukhune United, meanwhile, will be desperate to respond after suffering defeat in the MTN8. Kaze’s side will know that another loss against Pirates could make the three-game sequence particularly difficult.

With the two clubs scheduled to meet again in the MTN8 semi-final second leg, Tuesday’s encounter adds another important layer to their rivalry.

BETWAY PREMIERSHIP FOUR-GAME SCHEDULE

Three other Betway Premiership fixtures will take place simultaneously at 19:30, creating a busy night across South Africa’s top flight.

At the Mbombela Stadium, newly promoted Kruger United welcome Durban City in another intriguing early-season battle. Both sides will see the fixture as an opportunity to collect valuable points and move higher up a congested table.

Meanwhile, Siwelele FC will host Chippa United as they attempt to recover from consecutive defeats. Siwelele are also searching for their first league goals of the campaign, while Chippa United will be targeting another positive result to strengthen their position.

With all four matches kicking off at 19:30, the Betway Premiership table could look significantly different by the end of the night.
