NY Giants guard Sisi Mauigoa leaves joint practice with stinger

The New York Giants had a real scare in their joint practice with the Miami Dolphins as rookie guard Francis Mauigoa left the field and went inside with a trainer.
Head coach John Harbaugh said after practice that the No. 10 overall pick suffered a “stinger.” The coach said it did not appear to be serious.

Those on the scene down in Miami report that Mauigoa went inside without his helmet or pads, raising concerns.

Jordan Raanan of ESPN reported that the issue with Mauigoa doesn’t seem to be serious. He adds that Mauigoa is believed to have a “heat-related issue”.

It turned out to be more than the heat, though Mauigoa did return to watch the end of practice.
