Bridging Generations: Dr. Gorakhnath Pol’s ‘Me GEN X... Ek Gen Z Cha Baba’ Launched in Kamothe

‘Me GEN X... Ek Gen Z Cha Baba’, a book written by Dr. Gorakhnath Pol with a positive message of understanding Generation Z rather than blaming them, encouraging open communication, and bridging the growing gap between parents and children, was launched at Sushma Patil Vidyalaya & Junior College, Kamothe, in the presence of distinguished guests from the fields of education, social work and other sectors.
With changing times, there has been a significant shift in the way different generations perceive lifestyle, technology, education, careers, relationships and values. Rather than viewing these differences as a conflict between generations, Dr. Pol has written the book with the objective of building a bridge of understanding and communication between Gen X and Gen Z.

Drawing on his extensive experience in the education sector, as well as his personal perspective as a father, Dr. Pol has attempted to understand the thoughts and emotions of the younger generation. The book explores the aspirations of today's youth, their independent thinking, relationship with technology, changing approach towards careers, parental expectations and the emotions of children in a simple, sensitive and positive manner.
“Before trying to change Gen Z, let us first understand them. Let us give greater importance to dialogue than advice, and to trust rather than expectations,” is the central message of the book.
The launch ceremony was attended by Dilip Patil, Founder-Chairman of Sushma Patil Vidyalaya; Vikas Gharat, Corporator from Kamothe; Dr. Bhagat; international speaker Dr. Pawan Agrawal; Dr. Mandar Panvelkar; Dr. Anant Dharnekar; Shravan Gharat; Jadhav, Chairman of Suvidya Vidyalaya; Chandrakant Jadhav, Founder of Ketaki Prakashan; Balasaheb Fadtare; Smita Panvelkar; Bhai Patil; Vijay Patil; Rahul Rane; Prakash Walunj; Sanjay Kiswe; Arjun Gowari; Dilip Gupta; Mindset Guru Prof. Dinesh Gupta; and social worker Suresh Kharat, along with several other dignitaries from the education and social sectors.
The dignitaries appreciated the relevance and timely theme of the book. They observed that, in a rapidly changing social environment, parents too need to adapt the way they communicate with the younger generation. Speakers noted that the book goes beyond merely discussing Gen Z and makes a constructive effort to strengthen mutual trust, communication and understanding among parents, teachers and young people.
At the conclusion of the programme, Mansi Pol, Director of S Napkin Bouquet’s Satkar House, expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, teachers, representatives from the social sector, friends and book lovers who attended the event. She said that their presence and support made the book launch a memorable occasion.
