· Yahoo Sports
Michigan State football is in the midst of fall camp, where the Spartans are gearing up for the first year under new head coach Pat Fitzgerald. With the arrival of Fitzgerald, a plethora of new players are on the roster, while some of the returning players are forced to compete for their spot and even try new positions.

One returning Spartan has been seen in a changed position, and it comes as a bit of a surprise. Conner Moore was a big time transfer add for MSU in 2025, and he played tackle for the Spartans throughout the season. Now, the new coaching staff that was able to retain him, sees him moving inside.
Moore has been repping at guard for the Spartans, and appears to be a shoe in to earn a starting role at the position for opening night. Moore has been a good offensive lineman in his career, and a move inside could elevate his game to another level.
Moore spoke to the media on Wednesday, where he addressed the move to guard, while also talking about the difference in the team from 2025 to 2026:
