In the main event of Tuesday’s Contender Series Week 1, former NFL player Anthony Wint put his undefeated record on the line versus LFA veteran Matt Adams. In less than a minute, Wint emerged from the Octagon not just with a stunning knockout win but with a new UFC contract as well!
There’s not much to recap here. Wint pressed the action right away with some fast swings, which prompted a takedown attempt from his opponent. Wint stuffed the shot, and when Adams attempted a trip from the clinch, Wint reversed him to the canvas. As Adams tried to scramble to his feet, Wint hammered away with ground strikes and never gave him a chance to recover.
Afterward, UFC CEO Dana White described Wint as “a f—king tank.”

After years of stagnation, is Heavyweight finally heating up? At just 30 years of age, Wint is a very exciting prospect with obvious athletic gifts. He joins the roster just a couple months after Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson debuted in style, and this year has also seen the exciting rises of Valter Walker and Josh Hokit.
Hopefully, Wint can make his own official debut before the end of 2026.
