Bremer wants to play for Brazil at the 2030 World Cup
· Yahoo Sports
Gleison Bremer did not get any minutes at the 2026 World Cup and remained on the bench until Brazil were eliminated from the tournament, which is not the position any player wants to find themselves in. The defender is one of the top players in Europe, and Juventus are more than happy to have him in their squad because he consistently delivers for club or country.
Brazil have some of the best defenders in the world playing at different clubs across Europe, so it is a testament to Bremer’s qualities that he was even selected for the squad by Carlo Ancelotti. Although he did not play during the tournament, the defender is certain to receive more opportunities with his national team.

Bremer looking towards 2030 World Cup
Bremer is already keeping an eye on the next World Cup, which will take place in 2030. The Juventus defender is looking forward to the tournament and believes that by then, he will have established himself more firmly within the national team.
His inclusion in the 2026 squad still gave him valuable experience, even though he did not get the opportunity to appear on the pitch. With Brazil possessing considerable defensive competition, Bremer will know he must continue to perform strongly at club level.
The Juventus defender remains determined to become a more important player for Brazil and hopes his opportunity will come.
Bremer accepts Ancelotti’s decision
Bremer understands why Ancelotti chose to continue with the players who helped Brazil qualify for the tournament. Despite his disappointment at not playing, he views being part of the squad as a valuable experience and remains focused on the future.
The Juve defender said to La Gazzetta dello Sport:
“It was still a great experience. It was also right for Ancelotti to reward the players who had qualified. Patience. I’m still young and I hope to be a protagonist in 2030.”
Bremer will now return his attention to his club career, while continuing to work towards becoming a key part of Brazil’s plans for the next World Cup.
