Caught On Camera: Fortuner Crashes Into Tempo Inside Missing Link Tunnel At Mumbai-Pune Expressway; 1 Dead

Mumbai: A fatal accident was reported on Friday in the 'Missing Link' tunnel on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. A speeding Fortuner travelling from Pune to Mumbai hit an Eicher goods tempo heading towards Mumbai.

One person died on the spot. Traffic on the Missing Link was disrupted for a few hours, and the incident spread panic in the area. The deceased has been identified as Tushar Bhumkar, aged 30–35. Four other occupants travelling in the car sustained minor injuries, while the occupants of the Eicher tempo also escaped with minor injuries.
CCTV footage surfaces
CCTV footage of the accident has surfaced on social media. The clip shows the car hitting the tempo from behind, leading to the tempo partially overturning and severely damaging the car. The accident occurred at around 1:30 am.

Rescue operation and traffic
The goods tempo was reportedly carrying vegetables. Rescue teams and the MSRDC ambulance rushed to the spot soon after the crash. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, while police conducted rescue operations and cleared the accident site.
