Trey'Dez Green returns to LSU football as one of the team's most versatile weapons on offense. The tight end does it all, catching passes in the middle of the field and on the outside. He is considered one of the best at his position.

Green landed on the preseason watchlist for John Mackey Award, presented annually to the nation's most outstanding collegiate tight end. He comes off a career year in 2025 where he led all SEC tight ends in receiving touchdowns and became arguably the Tigers' most reliable target in the pass game.
The rising junior speaks openly about wanting to improve his blocking but his pass-catching abilities will likely be relied on heavily again. When LSU head coach Lane Kiffin led Ole Miss last year, the Rebels used Dae'Quan Wright in similar ways to Green and their offense was one of the best in the country.

Green will likely depart for the NFL Draft after this season as he garners first-rounder hype, but he will have plenty of opportunities to build on his collegiate career. Last year, he totaled 433 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
