Gardner-Johnson was injured during on Saturday, August 1 during the team’s training camp practice at St. John Fisher University. An initial observation by News 4 Buffalo reporter Carl Jones stated that “Gardner-Johnson went down during team period holding his lower leg area” before being helped off the field by trainers.”
