SARS branches to open on Saturdays for 2026 tax season

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has announced it will open branches on Saturdays to help taxpayers submit their returns. The news is welcomed during this busy tax season. These are the dates SARS branches will be open near you.

SARS to open on Saturdays

For those who don’t want to use eFiling or who have complicated tax queries, there’s no reason to take leave to get assistance. SARS is opening some of its branches on Saturdays. The initiative started on 25 July and will end in October.

On the Saturdays branches participate, they will be open from 08:00 to 13:00, excluding Rustenberg, Mmabatho, and Klerksdorp. These branches will open from 08:00 to 12:00 on certain Saturdays.

Eastern Cape residents have the benefit of their four branches — Kariega, Gqeberha, East London, Mthatha — being open every Saturday from 1 August until 24 October.
