But Steph and the Golden State Warriors no longer feel like championship contenders, and they just missed out on LeBron James. That has sparked trade rumors, pretty much out of thin air -- and some fans are wondering whether the Boston Celtics could get involved.

To be clear, none of the major NBA insiders are reporting that Curry is going be traded, and certainly nothing specific about the Celtics.

This is more of a fan-based speculation.

Curry's Google search trends, for example, show people searching whether he could be dealt to Boston.
