Air Force grad Tanner wins discus national title

(NEW YORK, NY) — Air Force grad Texas Tanner won his first national title on Saturday, July 25th just over a month after competing for the final time with the Falcons. Tanner threw 65.46 meters to take first in the USATF Outdoor and Para Championships for discus throw.

Tanner won the event by over a meter and a half. The Falcon graduate adds another title to go with his illustrious college career. Tanner was a two-time All-American while at Air Force, holds the school record for discus and hammer throw, and was named the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Athlete of the Year.
