· Yahoo Sports
It may seem like a while from now, but once this summer ends, the Los Angeles Lakers will start training camp and then take the court for the NBA preseason. The majority of their roster is all new, and fans are very interested to see how all the new pieces will fit with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves and how well it will do overall.

The team lost LeBron James, Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, Rui Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes, but it has added Walker Kessler, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton, Kevon Looney, Ziaire Williams, Matisse Thybulle and rookie Cameron Carr -- so far. Its roster is more athletic and fluid, not to mention younger and more capable on both ends of the floor, even if its ceiling will be lower than it was last season.
The Lakers' 2026 preseason schedule has been released, and it includes five games in the month of October:
- Oct. 5: at Sacramento Kings -- Golden 1 Center, Sacramento
- Oct. 6: at Golden State Warriors -- Chase Center, San Francisco
- Oct. 8: vs. Kings -- Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles
- Oct. 13: vs. Warriors -- T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas
- Oct. 16: vs. Denver Nuggets -- Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles
The times for each game are to be determined.
The regular season schedule is yet to be released, but it is typically revealed sometime in August.
