Cam Ward honored in cool, memorable way by his Texas hometown

Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward's hometown has honored him with Cam Ward Way running along N 17th Street in West Columbia, Texas.

Ward is heading into his second year as the Titans' starting quarterback after an illustrious college career that saw him set the NCAA Division I all-time record for touchdown passes and led to his status as the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. West Columbia is a small town of fewer than 4,000 people that sits roughly 50 miles outside of Houston. Ward is the only active NFL player who attended Columbia High School.

According to an announcement from a government agency there, homes on N 17th Street will retain their addresses rather than be renamed for Cam Ward Way. ESPN reported that N 17th Street is the road on which Ward's mother Patrice grew up.

Ward and the Titans convene for training camp at the end of July to begin preparations for the 2026 NFL season, which kicks off for the Titans on Sept. 13 at Nissan Stadium against the New York Jets.
