Bryson Moore signs with Pittsburgh Pirates

Bryson Moore is officially a Pittsburgh Pirate.

The former FSU baseball pitcher has signed with the Pirates; the details of the deal have not yet been announced. Pittsburgh drafted him with the No. 198 overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft, which has a value of $317,100.
Moore spent just one season in Tallahassee after spending the first two years of his career with the Virginia Cavaliers. The righty made 14 starts for the Seminoles as their Sunday starter. He finished the year with a 3.86 ERA and a 6-2 record, throwing 67 2/3 innings.
He had the best start of his career against Virginia in April and was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week after throwing seven shutout innings with seven strikeouts, two hits, and a walk. Moore started FSU's first game in the Tallahassee Regional, holding St. John's to two runs over five innings on six hits and a walk. He threw six or more innings in four of his starts, giving FSU valuable length as their No. 3 starter.
It was by far the best year of his career after he battled injuries during his time with the Cavaliers, throwing 31 1/3 innings with a 2.59 ERA and a 2-0 record.
Moore was one of seven FSU players to be taken in the draft, including five pitchers. The entire starting rotation was taken, with Wes Mendes going in the second round and Trey Beard in the fifth.
