Haley Bogdon has already accomplished more in the past year than many people hope to achieve in several. The former University of Arkansas dancer graduated from college in December 2025, became a registered nurse and then earned a coveted place on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ 2026-27 roster.
Bogdon was one of eight rookies introduced by the organization in mid-July. After the roster became official, she shared the announcement on her Instagram Stories and tried to put the moment into words.
“I can’t believe I’m a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader!!!!!” Bogdon wrote. “I am so honored and grateful to be living my dream.”
Her selection gives the Cowboys one of the most interesting rookies in this year’s class.
Bogdon was a member of the Arkansas dance team and a sorority during college. At the same time, she completed the academic and clinical requirements needed to begin a career in healthcare.
That combination speaks to the discipline she will bring to Dallas.

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ audition process has become familiar to a much larger audience because of Netflix’s “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.” The series has shown that making the team requires much more than being an excellent dancer. Candidates are expected to learn routines quickly, perform under intense pressure and demonstrate that they can represent one of the NFL’s most visible organizations.
Bogdon managed to do all of that while beginning her post-college life as a registered nurse. Nursing and professional cheerleading may appear to be completely different careers, but both require preparation, stamina and the ability to remain composed in stressful situations.

Bogdon will enter her rookie season alongside a group filled with memorable stories. Former Lakers cheerleader Aubrey Rogers is moving from the NBA to the NFL. Savanna Dastrup and Emily Awbrey earned their places after emotional cuts in 2025, while Brianne Lindenau and Kate Rogge also made the team after returning for another attempt.
Bogdon’s story stands out because it shows the range of accomplishments represented on the Cowboys’ sideline. She will not simply be a rookie performer. She will also be a healthcare professional who achieved one dream without giving up on another. Netflix has not announced a fourth season of “America’s Sweethearts,” so fans may not get to watch every step of Bogdon’s journey to the team.
They will still get to see the result when she takes the field at AT&T Stadium as one of the newest Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
