The San Francisco 49ers have a great roster and have plenty of players featured among the league's best at their respective positions.
Nick Bosa, Fred Warner, Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Trent Williams, Mike Evans, and Osa Odighizuwa are some incredible players. However, not all of them have a lot of trade value.
ESPN's Bill Barnwell revealed that there are four "Hall of Famers" whose trade values are less than a first-round pick. Those four include Evans, Kittle, McCaffrey, and even Williams.
49ers have 4 future 'Hall of Famers' worth less than a 1st round pick
"Missing out: WR Mike Evans, TE George Kittle, RB Christian McCaffrey, WR Ricky Pearsall, Edge Mykel Williams, OT Trent Williams," Barnwell writes. "Oh, just four Hall of Famers in this section, huh? Age and injury hurt here."
While Barnwell has all four of these potential Hall of Famers as currently worth less than a first-round pick, it shouldn't be that surprising considering their current statuses.
Evans is 32 years old and will be 33 before the season begins in 2026. He is coming off the worst season of his career, as he had just 368 yards with three touchdowns, thanks to an injury that kept him out for most of the year.
Kittle is also 32 years old, and while his 628-yard, seven-touchdown season in 2025 wasn't terrible, he also missed time due to injury, including an Achilles injury that came up during the playoffs this past January.

Williams is the oldest player of this group, as the soon-to-be-38-year-old is likely near the end of his playing days. He could've been traded this offseason, but even though he's an incredible OT, he probably wasn't going for a first-round pick.
McCaffrey is the youngest of this group, at just 30 years old. But, as a running back with less positional value, who also missed much of 2024 due to injury, and had a lot of touches this past season, he's not worth a first-round pick.
As good as Evans, Kittle, Williams, and McCaffrey are, their trade value is less than a first-round pick. This shouldn't be a huge surprise, as their age, injury history, and contract statuses make them a lot less appealing as trade targets.
They are great pieces to have, but to trade for one of them, a first-round pick would be an overpay. From the 49ers' perspective, trading them for anything less than a first-round pick would be a mistake. So, all deals with these four are likely off the table.
