ATLANTA ― It's game day for Argentina and England as the squads gear up to play in the World Cup semifinals.

England is trying to win its first tournament title in 60 years, while Argentina continues its title defense after winning in 2022. Wednesday's head-to-head will be a clash of one of the most well-known rivalries in football, headlined by top stars like Lionel Messi and Harry Kane.
When the game kicks off at 3 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, La Albiceleste and the Three Lions will battle for a spot in the World Cup final on Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

What jerseys are Argentina and England wearing today?
Argentina will wear its dark blue jersey against England on Wednesday afternoon in Atlanta. England will wear its white jerseys.
Argentina wore its dark blue jerseys in the 1986 "Hand of God" win against England and did so again beating the Three Lions on penalty kicks in the 1998 World Cup, and chose to go with the jerseys again on Wednesday.
England manager Thomas Tuchel understood the Argentines' superstitutions.
"I would have done the same if there was any superstition combined with it," he told reporters on Tuesday. "So credit to them. I was not aware of that."
Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni isn't sure who made the call to wear the change kits.
"Well, I didn't ask for the blue one. I don't know who did, but perhaps it's tradition," Scaloni said. "I really don't know. I can't speak to that. And if Thomas had no issue, well, then you can say the same for myself."
