Bassein Catholic Co-operative Bank relocates Bandra branch

Bassein Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd., one of Maharashtra's leading scheduled urban co-operative banks, has relocated its Bandra branch to Mahim (West), Mumbai. The inauguration and blessing ceremony of the relocated branch was held on July 13, 2026.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Bombay, Rev. Bishop Stephen Fernandes, who blessed the new premises. In his address, Bishop Fernandes praised the bank's commitment to customer service and the trust it has earned over the years, and wished the branch continued success.
Welcoming the dignitaries, directors and senior officials, Chairman Benauld Dias reflected on the bank's 108-year journey and extended his best wishes for the success of the relocated branch. Director Teresa D'Silva and General Manager Osden Fonseca also addressed the gathering and conveyed their good wishes.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer Mahesh Phadke highlighted the bank's financial performance for FY2025-26. He said the bank had achieved a total business of ₹13,136.14 crore during the financial year, with a net profit of ₹118.76 crore. The bank's Capital Adequacy Ratio stood at 24.26%, while its Net NPA remained at zero. He also noted that the bank had received an 'A' audit classification.
Established in 1918 by Rev. Fr. Monsi P.J. Monis as a credit society in the Vasai region, Bassein Catholic Co-operative Bank has grown into a scheduled urban co-operative bank with 63 branches and one extension counter across seven districts of Maharashtra—Palghar, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Navi Mumbai and Thane. The bank said customer trust continues to be its greatest strength.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to Bishop Stephen Fernandes, directors, employees, officers and customers, along with best wishes for the successful journey of the relocated branch.
