· IGN

After two seasons, the anime series Solo Leveling will continue its story with a full-length movie adaptation, Solo Leveling: Beyond the System. None other than Sung Jinwoo's English voice actor Aleks Le revealed the news that the title was in production as part of Crunchyroll's Anime Expo showcase. The movie will pick up where season 2, Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadow, left off.

We didn't get a release date or any news on a full season 3 of the show, but we did get a concept video and some moody key art for the movie.

Anime studio A-1 Pictures, the team behind Sword Art Online and Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV, is providing the animation in collaboration with Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C MEDIA, Kakao Piccoma, and Crunchyroll.

Solo Leveling tells the story of supernatural monster hunter Sung Jinwoo who, driven by the burdens of his mother's medical expenses and his sister's education, takes a risk and, as a result, gains the ability to level up and go from being the "World’s Weakest Hunter" to, essentially, a one-man army. The anime is based on the 2016 South Korean web novel, which was adapted into a webtoon in 2018. The first season of the anime version aired on Crunchyroll in 2024, with season 2 dropping last year.
