The Seattle Seahawks had a historic 2025 season. After not having the highest expectations entering the season, the team made it all the way to the Super Bowl and ended up winning the whole thing.

It was a smashing success, and the goal now is to get back there. The team made some nice moves this offseason, like signing edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. and drafting running back Jadarian Price.

However, there are always more moves that can be made, and it's never a bad idea to add more veteran depth. As a result, the Seahawks could be a perfect landing spot for a veteran running back.

Seahawks named top landing spot for Najee Harris

Bryan DeArdo of CBS Sports recently identified the top landing spots for the remaining free agents. One of the top running backs available is veteran Najee Harris, who is looking to bounce back after an injury-ruined 2025.

DeArdo thinks Harris would make plenty of sense in Seattle after the team lost Kenneth Walker in free agency and are prepared to be without Zach Charbonnet for a while.

DeArdo offered the following analysis:

The Seahawks spent a first-round pick on Jadarian Price after losing Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker to the Chiefs in free agency. But with Zach Charbonnet still recovering from last year's ACL injury, Seattle could use a veteran who can take some of the pressure off Price, who shared a backfield at Notre Dame with Cardinals first-round pick Jeremiyah Love.

As DeArdo mentioned, the Seahawks will have a ton of carries to go around without Walker and Charbonnet. The Seahawks obviously feel good about Price after using a first-round pick on him, but hardly any team relies on just one running back now.

Harris has been a reliable back in his career, so it makes sense to take a flier. The running back never missed a game in his first four seasons, so the hope is that his 2025 injury was a fluke.

In 2024, Harris rushed for 1,043 yards and six touchdowns. In fact, the Alabama product rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first four seasons in the league. Harris has never been the most efficient running back, as he averages just under four yards per carry in his career, but he's been reliable between the tackles and can catch passes as well.

Right now, the Seahawks have George Holani, Emanuel Wilson, and Kenny McIntosh as the top backup options. Harris is definitely more accomplished than that list, so it would make sense to bring him in as depth.
