Two coaches to be inducted into National Hall of Fame

Jul. 2—JAMESTOWN — North Dakota has two coaches going into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) Coaches Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame Banquet will be Tuesday, July 30 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Conference Center in Coralville, Iowa.

The two coaches being inducted are Larry Sandy of Velva and Tim Wallstrum from Kenmare. Sandy coached football and track and field. Wallstrum acts as the head coach for Kenmare's volleyball program. Wallstrum was the past president of the North Dakota High School Coach's Association (NDHSCA) and the NHSACA. He is the current executive director of the NHSACA.

The NHSACA also announced its Coach of the Year. Bobby Hoffner of Benson County was named the National Girls Track and Field Coach of the Year.
