After two seasons in Philadelphia, Drummond has agreed to a 1-year $3.9 million deal with the defending champion New York Knicks. The 14-year veteran is coming off a season in which he averaged 6.4 points and 8.4 rebounds off the bench. He also added a somewhat reliable 3-point shot to his game as he shot 35.6% from deep on 1.4 attempts per night. It was an impressive development for a player this late in his career.

With the Knicks losing Mitchell Robinson in free agency to the Boston Celtics, they needed a replacement. Now, Drummond can step in behind Karl-Anthony Towns and give the champs some reliable minutes off their bench.
