After brining in Dean Wade and Ariel Hukporti to begin free agency and then pulling off a stunning trade for Jaylen Brown, the Sixers have now fortified the bench unit a bit.

The Sixers have reportedly agreed to a 2-year $12.3 million deal with Anfernee Simons in free agency. The 8-year guard averaged 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists and shot 44% from the floor and 38.5% from deep in 55 games split between the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls.

Simons is a player who can stabilize Philadelphia's bench unit with his microwave scoring ability. With the Sixers still a bit top-heavy in terms of the roster and what they can bring to the table, the bench unit needed a little bit of help in an effort to support the strong starting unit. This is a phenomenal signing by Gansey and the front office.
