Mexico vs. Ecuador was set to kick off at 9 p.m. ET at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Tuesday night in the 2026 World Cup Round of 32. But it's going to be delayed.

Around an hour before kickoff, there was news that lightning to go along with the rain that was falling, so there will be a delay in the game starting. So if you're turning on your TV to watch the game at 9 p.m. ET and you're not seeing it, you know why.
