While Bleyl is not expected to join the Spartans until 2027-28, he is committed to Michigan State and will spending another year with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL. A 6-foot, 170 pound right shot defenseman, he is a high level prospect that the Spartans are keeping close tabs on as the 2026-27 season unfolds.
If Bleyl ends up in East Lansing next year or not is still a question, but the Spartans ability to prepare players for the NHL will be taken into account by the Predators.
So, in total, MSU has four incoming freshman along with Tommy Bleyl, a commit for the 2027-2028 season, drafted in the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft.
