Ahead of Game 5, Knueppel spent time with New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson, asking him about what it takes to win. Following the discussion, Knueppel spoke to the New York Post, explaining what he learned from the newly crowned NBA champion. “He’s not afraid to be like, ‘I’m going to go make a play. I’m going to make an aggressive play. And if I make a mistake, it’s going to be an aggressive mistake,’” Knueppel said. “He’s not afraid to lose, and to win, you can’t be afraid to lose.”

Although Knueppel didn't get any playoff experience of his own this season, learning such a lesson from one of the NBA's most clutch performers will certainly go a long way for Knueppel as he continues to develop during his sophomore season with Charlotte.
