Chivayo recently announced on social media that he had moved into the mansion, describing the purchase as ‘money well spent’ and thanking the team behind its design and finishing.

The acquisition places him among a growing list of high-profile residents in Clifton, one of South Africa’s most sought-after residential areas.

A home designed for luxury

Perched along Cape Town’s famous Atlantic Seaboard, the mansion stands out for its modern architecture, expansive glass walls and panoramic views of the ocean.

The property features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the interior with natural light, while high ceilings create a sense of openness throughout the home.

Elegant chandeliers hang from several rooms, complemented by fixed-beam lighting that enhances the property’s contemporary design.

Images shared online also show a fully furnished residence fitted with designer furniture, with each room appearing to have its own unique style and theme.

The businessman expressed his gratitude to Stephen Pelerade and the team at Pelerade Design House for their work on the property.

Space for family living

Beyond its luxurious finishes, the mansion appears designed with family life in mind.

The property includes a dedicated play area for Chivayo’s children, adding a personal touch to a home that blends comfort with opulence.

While the exact number of bedrooms has not been disclosed, the residence offers multiple spacious living areas and uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Clifton continues to attract the wealthy

Clifton remains one of South Africa’s most prestigious addresses and is home to several prominent business figures, celebrities and entrepreneurs.

Among Chivayo’s neighbours are internationally acclaimed DJ and music producer Black Coffee, as well as South African mining and logistics magnate Solly “MySol” Madibela.

The suburb’s combination of privacy, security and stunning coastal scenery continues to make it a magnet for wealthy buyers from across Africa and beyond.

Not Chivayo’s first luxury property

The Clifton purchase follows another headline-grabbing acquisition by Chivayo in 2024 when he reportedly bought a mansion in Harare for R129 million.

That property sits on 17 hectares and boasts a range of luxury amenities, including full-size tennis courts and a helipad.

With his latest purchase, Chivayo has once again demonstrated his appetite for high-end real estate, this time securing a place in one of South Africa’s most exclusive neighbourhoods.
