Texas A&M’s Scott Livingstone earns historic Hall of Fame induction

Another Texas A&M legend is headed to the College Hall of Fame and this one is historic. Former Aggie infielder Scott Livingstone has been selected to the College Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2026, becoming the first Texas A&M player ever inducted since the Hall’s creation in 2006.
The College Baseball Foundation announced the honor on Thursday, cementing Livingstone’s place among the sport’s all‑time greats. Livingstone remains one of the most decorated players in program history. He is the only Aggie ever to record at least 300 hits, 200 runs, and 200 RBI, a statistical combination unmatched by any other player to wear the Maroon & White. His career .342 batting average ranks among the best in school history, and he was a force in the Southwest Conference, earning:

After his standout college career, Livingstone was selected in the second round of the 1988 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers. He made his big‑league debut in 1991 and went on to play eight MLB seasons across multiple organizations.
Livingstone’s induction not only celebrates his individual excellence but also marks a milestone moment for Texas A&M baseball, the program’s first representative in the College Baseball Hall of Fame.
