UFC Freedom 250 made its mark as one of the best MMA events ever held.

The night featured seven fights, each ending in a knockout, and all taking place at the White House. While it was a thrilling event for fans, it came at a significant physical cost for the athletes involved.

Ilia Topuria sustained fractures to both orbital bones during his TKO (corner stoppage) defeat at UFC Freedom 250. Fortunately, the 17-1 star won’t need surgery after suffering the first defeat of his career.

The Association of Boxing and Combative Sports Commissions (ABC) has issued Topuria a maximum medical suspension.

‘El Matador’ is required to sit out for 180 days unless cleared earlier by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Pereira, who lost via TKO to Ciryl Gane in the UFC White House co-main event, faces a similar scenario.

The former two-weight champion will be out for up to 180 days or until he receives clearance from a maxillofacial CT scan.
